safi sana is a creative personal enterprise; a dream which has become a reality. From its logo, scribbled on a napkin in a cafe in Nakuru, Kenya, to its diverse range of handmade items, it has been the brain-child and labour-of-love of me, Ruth.
Everything I sell has been designed and made by me in my home in Gateshead, using materials and ideas I have gathered over the years from my North East Geordie roots to several years spent living in Africa and then the vibrant metropolis of London. My creations are heavily influenced by, amongst other things, the strong Geordie dialect, vibrant African prints and colours, and the wisdom and truth of my Christian faith.
I have always loved making things, photographing things and tinkering about on a computer. Over the years I've added to the range of skills and products I have, and my little safi sana dream has become a reality of which I'm proud.
Enjoy exploring and do feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. I'm always up for a challenge, so if your browsing prompts a commission request or you have any ideas you'd like to run by me then ping me a message - I'd love to hear from you.
Ruth, safi sana
